Well, Christmas came and Christmas went – and a lovely Christmas it was.
After years of solitude we celebrated Christmas with our new god-child Madison and her mom Renee.
The weather had us worried because our visitors were to arrive from Chicago by bus. But as you can see, the winter storm subsided in time and we were able to celebrate Christmas together.
Here they are opening presents on Christmas day.
Madison was a great help when it came to taking pictures for her mom. The camera was never far from her little hands and we marvelled that such a small camera would not break in her tight grip.
Madison was very generous with her morning frowns … bright mid-day smiles … and kisses at bedtime. She also gave all of us her cold. We discovered too late that she had been playing with the tissue boxes, taking the tissues out and neatly putting them back inside, germs and all.
So here we are, ringing out the year with a persistent little cold that reminds us of a wonderful Christmas spent with a spunky little girl.
