Its been a while since our last post and I am happy to tell you that our regular updates will commence this weekend.

January in Wisconsin can be hard on human and computer alike, but we made it through and the sparkling new laptop is amazingly fast.

Chiggers galore would be more accurate and I don’t seem to be able to get rid of them.  When I first came to the USA in the early 1970s I learned about mosquitoes and cuddies and of course chiggers.  Initially I thought of them as mythical critters, created by peoples’ imagination to add some spice to life.   But that proved wrong when I experienced my first mosquito bite that almost put me in the hospital with an allergic reaction.  Cuddies however, I’ve never caught; and so it was a big surprise when I discovered the little red menace called Chiggers right here in Wisconsin.

In case you are unaware of what this microscopic critter looks like I have located some exquisite pictures for you.
